So, here is our orange nosed Carly with a spike on her head! Isn't she cute? Anyone out there know how to NOT have your babies get orange noses from eating baby food? Or does this just happen to me? Please leave a comment (even if I don't know you) I would love some ideas on how to avoid it.

Family prayer
So last night before we put the kids to bed we asked Hailey if she wanted to say the prayer. She said yes. So I was expecting to have to tell her what to say. I was so surprised to actually hear the sweet words with no prompting what so ever, "Dear Heaven Fader." Sure she blessed the food during her prayer even though we had eaten hours ago, but she also said "thank you for our bodies" and a few other things we couldn't quite pick out. And then ended by saying, "name Jesus Christ, Amen." How awesome it was to hear those words come out of her mouth. I almost broke out crying when she was done, but I sucked 'em back. That is one of those moments when you are proud to be a parent.

Found a Peanut
Carly just had her 9 month check up last week and she is still just tiny. She's in the 3rd % for her weight (you would never guess it by how much she eats!). And she's in the 25th % for her height. Peanut is such a fitting nickname don't you think? But, maybe I should stop calling her Peanut. Perhaps it's the whole subconscious thing keeping her so small!?!

Chapstick obsession!
Okay, so Hailey has had an obsession lately with chapstick, or "stackstick" as she calls it.
This is how she puts it on....
....notice it's not quite on her lips.....
How do you teach an almost three-year-old that that's not where the chapstick goes? Oh well, a paper towel works wonders!

Scared the.......
Last week my sister was in town from Arizona. We took our kids to the Hogle Zoo. It was an awesome day, the weather was perfect. The kids had fun too. We saw one of the Gorillas up close and personal, well maybe not really. We did see one poop, and then pound on his chest (yes, they do actually do that) and then he hit the wall and started running in the direction towards us! It scared my sister and me. Good thing there was very thick (what I am guessing was) plexy glass between us. So anyway, as we were leaving the ape house Hailey said, "Wow. It scared the poop right out of him!" My sister and I laughed and laughed. You never know what your kids are going to pick up on. What a nut.

New template
Okay, so I know that many of you have noticed the new template. Well, I had seen other peoples blogs and noticed that they had very cute and different backgrounds/templates. I searched and searched and searched for weeks and weeks on the internet (just ask Dan how long I looked) for a new template that I liked, and then last Monday I came across this site http://matiekay.blogspot.com/. And when I found it I was like "Finally, I achieved something!" I love this template that I have, and think it's very cute. So for those of you who are wondering where I found it, there it is. Enjoy!

I'm stuck
This is how we found Carly after her nap yesterday.
We took a short video of her. Funny thing about it is that Hailey did a similar thing when she was about Carly's age. I thought it would be fun to put both of the videos of it on here.
