It's a.........

BABY!!! :)

With feet

And legs

And a heart beat

Oh, yeah and with girl parts!

When the ultrasound tech asked if we wanted to find out the sex Dan said, "Yes." I was sorta surprised, but since he said yes then I couldn't say no. So there ya have it!

New poll on the blog....

I put a new poll on my blog.
I had an ultrasound yesterday, what are your opinions?
Family's vote doesn't count, cause you already know, so please don't vote, thanks!

Easter

So here are our Easter pictures, there are more, but they are on my mom's camera.

Waiting to "paint" the eggs.

I had the girls take off their shirts and we put on their cute aprons that my sister made for them.

"What are we doing?"

Blurry picture, but you get the idea.

Please ignore the boxes in the background. We are moving again, oh wait, I didn't tell you we were moving, well we are. On Saturday!

The Easter baskets.

The girls reactions. Pretty cute.

Sorry for Hailey's crazy hair and Carly's growing out bangs in her eyes.

"Oh, that's what's inside?"

I laughed at this picture, doesn't she look kinda disappointed?

Just before church.

I'm so glad we had nice sunny weather.

"Carly, look at dad and smile."

Oh well, that's the best we got.

After church we went to my parents and had a little Easter egg hunt. We forgot to take our camera, so those are the pictures that are on my moms. I'll have to post those later when I get copies.

Dan on the news and in the news!

So KUTV came and interviewed some people in Dan's office yesterday, including Dan. They are doing a story on World Voice Day, which Dan's office is participating in. The story will be airing tomorrow (Wednesday the 15th).

Also, tomorrow someone from Deseret News is going to be interviewing Dan and taking his picture for the same subject!

I'm excited to see if he makes it on the air and can't wait to see the article with him in it!

Last nights Jazz game

My brother John is very talented. He made these signs that you see here (found on the Deseret News sports section). In fact, he is in the pic holding the #13 Mehmet Okur. Also that's my mom holding #8 D Will. Holding #5 Boozer is my SIL (John's wife) Naima's mom, and her sister is holding #26 Kyle Korver. This isn't the first time he's had one of his Jazz game signs posted. Last season he made some that looked like penny's and it was pictures of the players, i.e. There was a picture of Boozer and it said In Boozer We Trust on it. Those were pretty cool too! You can kind of see it in the picture below.

Anyway, I thought I would take this moment and brag about my brother!
Good work John!
****Side note, John informed me that the coins were ALL Naima. So I have a talented brother and a talented SIL!

My Saturday night

I just watched The Phone Call.

Boy, it sure reminded me a lot of Napoleon Dynamite!

Isn't this how you would spend your Saturday night? Beats watching the Jazz game especially since they are suckin' it up!

Monday, April 6

To find out, or not to find out? That IS the question.

So I have my ultrasound scheduled on the 28th of April, that's in about 3 weeks, and I'm really struggling with whether or not to find out the sex of this baby. I can't even believe that I'm considering NOT finding out, but I sorta kinda feel like I should. Dan hasn't ever wanted to know before we actually had the baby, but I NEEDED to know. I told him after our first that we wouldn't find out with our second, but then I realized that I wanted to find out, so we did with the second too, I may have even told Dan that since we are finding out with our second we won't with our third! Dan says not finding out until the birth is truly the only real surprise in life. He says he wants to experience the whole, "it's a........!" when the baby's born.

I read somewhere online that even though I've had two girls previously I still pretty much have a 50/50 chance of having a boy or a girl.

I would really like to have a boy, and that's what I've told people since before I was even pregnant, that, it's a boy. You see, Dan is an only boy in his family, he has two OLDER sisters, so two girls and then a boy! His Dad is an only boy in his family too, so if we don't have any boys the Houtz name will stop at Dan in his family. Of course I will be happy if it's a girl too.

I know the whole when you know before you have the baby you can be prepared more, and buy clothes and things before the baby is born, but I get a little excited and emotional when I think about finding out right after the baby is born. I just don't know what to do. Some days I want to find out, and others I can see myself waiting. I do love surprises, but I also love knowing so I can make the baby a gender specific blanket. AHHHH.

Do I have the ultrasound tech write it down on a piece of paper and have them put it in an envelope, so just in case I change my mind I still have the chance of finding out? Or do I just find out? Or do I just wait? I know what all my family thinks about this, but what about you? I really want your opinion, even if I've never met you before and this is the first time to my blog, please let me know what you've done, or what you wish you would have done in finding out the sex of your unborn baby.

Thanks!
